How do we get Coffee beans?
The Coffee tree has an average height of 15 to 30 feet. The tree only begins to bear fruit after 3 to 5 years after being planted and it continuous to produce fruits for
5 to 20 years depending upon the type of the plant, area and how well its cared. The fruit takes around 9 to 11 months to ripen varying on the species which then can be used for Coffee bean production.
Types of Coffee and Why does it matter?
The
difference in the variety of Coffee species is the caffeine level that we can
get form the drinks we make from its beans along with acidity and bitterness
which also depends on the
processing, roasting and also on how you decide to brew it which we will talk
about on another article.
Now let’s
talk about Coffee types.
The most
commonly used Coffee species are Coffea
Arabica and Coffea Robusta (Coffea is the scientific name for coffee
plant species).
Even though
they are both Coffee plants they differ very much from its growing habitat and
to its taste when it arrives your cup so that’s why Coffee types matter for
everybody.
